When people look at gaming PCs, they tend to imagine gigantic, honking monsters, but a gaming PC can actually get pretty small while still playing games. Case in point—this ASUS tiny PC packs some serious hardware capable of gaming.

ASUS has just unveiled the NUC 15 Performance, a new tiny PC that, as the name suggests, is focused on performance. This is basically a debranded version of ASUS’ latest ROG NUC, and you seem to be getting basically the same computer, just without the ROG branding. Believe it or not, this can knock a few bucks off the price, since ROG has brand recognition and, therefore, a tiny markup—it’s widely seen as ASUS’ premium gaming brand, after all.

As far as specs go, this comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, which is about as good as it gets for a mobile CPU. As a reminder, these kinds of tiny computers always come with mobile specs, since they have a lower power draw, lower cooling needs, and can therefore fit in smaller places. The computer also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 mobile GPU, which is a mid-range mobile graphics card, but it will be okay as long as you don’t try to run a dual 4K monitor setup out of it. If you can go a couple of steps lower, there’s a lower-end configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX processor that’s paired with an RTX 5060.

Unlike its ROG counterpart, you can get this in a barebones configuration that you can outfit with your own RAM and storage. It has two CSO-DIMM slots supporting dual-channel DDR5 memory, which can support up to 96GB of DDR5-6400 memory. For storage, it provides two M.2 2280 slots: one supporting high-speed PCIe Gen 5 x4 SSDs and the other offering PCIe Gen 4 x4 speeds.

This New ASUS Tiny PC is Surprisingly Powerful

If you’ve been looking for a tiny PC, you might have come across many different options by this point.

This computer features a 2.5 Gb Ethernet port for fast wired networking and an Intel BE200 wireless card that gives the computer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 capabilities. So it’s pretty up to date as far as connectivity goes. For I/O, we have a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB Type-C port, six USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, dual HDMI outputs, and dual DisplayPort outputs. There’s even a 3.5mm headphone jack. To manage the thermal output of its high-performance components within the compact 3-liter chassis, the PC features a triple-fan cooling solution, though it still manages to be pretty conservative in terms of power consumption, as it comes with a 330W power adapter.
