We started on this wicket in January 10th and squeezed 9 consecutive Saturdays out of it. It was only meant to be used for 4 weeks but the association needed to borrow it for other clubs for a few more games due to scheduling issues (not as much fun preparing a wicket when you don’t get to play on it). Really pleased with the way it coped. Kept it grassed to limit cracking, about 6mm initially and then down to 3-4mm last couple of weeks. The blue lines started to erase once we switched from 1 day to 2 day cricket. Last pic is after the final clean up, now putting to bed for Autumn/Winter. Done by a couple of amateur/volunteer club members that work full time. submitted by /u/camchambers |
